Director Julie Taymor has reached a settlement with the producers of Broadway's Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark, according to the New York Times.
Taymor began work as the musical's original director and co-book writer back in 2002. She was eventually replaced by director Phillip William McKinley during the show's lengthy preview period in 2011. Chase Brock was also brought on to the project as a choreographer alongside new book writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Taymor sued the producers last November claiming that the production continued to use her creative ideas after her departure.
A notice from Judge Katherine B. Forrest of the Southern District of New York said Taymore reached an agreement with lead producers Michael Cohl and Jeremiah J. Harris as well as book writer Glen Berger. Terms fo the settlement have not been revealed at this time.
